She was predeceased by: her brother Charles W. Jr.. She is survived by: her children, James A., Theresa and Stacy Ballard; her sister Laura L. Long; her stepsister Jacqueline James; her sister-in-law Diane Ballard; her grandchildren, Stacy, Tiffany and Destiny; and her sibling's children, Brian, Charles III, Sonja Wilson, Robin Wilson Smith (Kenneth Smith) and Tracy Wheeler (Terrance).
