He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Dames and Anna Caddies Dames; and his wife Lillian Catherine Fera. He is survived by : his children, Thomas Andrew Dames, Jr. (Sandra) of Washington and Cathy Jo Goans (Euhlan Lee, Jr.) of Monongahela; his sister Catherine "Tina" Wagner of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Tad Dames (Cathy), Tommy Dames (Holly), Troy Dames (Elizabeth), Keith Stafford (Gina), Joey Stafford and Scott Stafford; and his siblings, William, Andrew Dames, Agnes Lea and Barbara Maioli. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services were private.
