She was predeceased by : her parents, George A. Bowman and Grace Annie Bowman (Herb); her former life partner Samuel H. Russ; her son Dwight Charles Russ; and her sister Katherine Arlene Hornberger.
She is survived by : her husband Ronald Varner; her daughters, Doreen Patricia Russ of Bloomsburg and Crystal J. Russ Fitzpatrick (Jim) of Levittown; her stepdaughter Sandy Pearse of Sugarloaf; her grandchildren, Russ Graeber, Amy Grace Payne and Cheri Lynn Paul; her stepgrandchildren, Sherrene Ann Mackey, Michael Patrick Pearse and Mary Dolores Hess; and her great grandchildren, Ashley Graeber, Codi Payne and Samuel Brown. She is also survived by eight step-great-grandchildren, and five step-great-great grandchildren.
