He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester C. Hensley and Leta Hensley (Baldwin); and his daughters, Alicia and April. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Orth (Matthew) and Crystal Guerin (Robert); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryleigh and Kaci; and his siblings, Robert, Mallie, Arthur, Frances of North Carolina and Virginia of North Carolina.
