He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Paul and Marion Paul (Koster); and his brother Warren Paul. He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" (Topits); his stepdaughter Jessica Haile Bagge (Christopher Bagge); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Libby and Lucy.

Memorials may be made in Alfred's memory to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, 5526 West 13400 South, #510, Herriman, UT 84096 or UNICEF 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038 to benefit children in Ukraine.
