He was predeceased by: his parents, Khuyen Van Nguyen and Quyt Thi Hoang. He is survived by: his wife Tra Thi Phan; and his children, Huy Nguyen, Phuong Nguyen, Thuy Nguyen, Diem Nguyen, Lan Nguyen, Hoang Nguyen and Huong Nguyen. He is also survived by siblings.
