He is survived by: his parent Huyen Van Hoang (Matta); and his children, Tuan Hoang, Hung Hoang, Ngoc Hoang, James Hoang, Huong Hoang, Thu Gazzio and Phuong Nguyen. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and various brothers and sisters.
