She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph J. Bortz; and her parents, Carl F. Newhard and Margaret C. Newhard (Boehmer). She is survived by: her friend Terri; her son Scott C. Bortz (Erica) of Bath; her stepchildren, Dennis Bortz (Jean) of Emmaus and Diane (Ron Eberts) of Effort; and her granddaughters, Dana Bortz (Jay Levan) of Whitehall and Jordyn Bortz of Bath.
