She is survived by: her mother Anita Perez-Thomas of Gettysburg; her stepfather Lawrence Thomas; her sons, Isyiah Carter and Ayden Carter; and her siblings, Jennifer, Jeremy, Sandra, Juan and Eduardo. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family suggests memorials to the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
