He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luther W. Benson and Pearl F. Benson (Johnson); his brother Charles R. Benson (Virginia) of Birdsboro; and his sibling's children, Charles R. Benson Jr. (Kathie) of Birdsboro and Barbara (Norbert Keim) of Jasper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
