He was predeceased by: his father John Green, Sr.; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Kessell and Ann Marie Corrigan. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Green and Kathy Longenberger; his wife Jeannie Green (Bachinger); his children, Maureen (Green), Alison (Green Myers), Kurt (Schmidt) and Greta (Schmidt); his grandchildren, Cleary (Schmidt) and Will (Myers); his mother-in-law Janet Bachinger (Trudnak); his godchildren, Maria Clarken, Bensons of Lancaster, PA and Bachingers of Bloomsburg, PA; and also, Caitlin, Garry and Moya. He is also survived by his extended family including beloved nieces, nephews.
