He is survived by: his wife Susan Hayhurst of Espy; his son Michael DeMelfi (Charlotte) of Ponte Vedra, Florida; his grandchildren, Michael, Anthony and Isabella; his brother Vincent DeMelfi of Bloomsburg; his sibling's children, Christopher DeMelfi (Tara) of Bloomsburg and Lisa (Michael Budman) of Culpeper; and his cousin Cynthia Romeo of Philadelphia.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Columba Catholic Church (342 Iron St, Bloomsburg, PA 17815). A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at the New Rosemont Cemetery (2151 Old Berwick Rd, Bloomsburg, PA 17815).
