She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Clair S. Houck and Alice Houck (Myers); her sons, John E. Kern (Lisa) and Steven C. Kern, Sr.; her step-daughters, Lynn and Jenny Harwood; her siblings, Sylvester C. Houck and Alice Bachman; and her grandchildren, Shaun M. Kern, Melissa Kern, Steven Kern, Jr. and Mathew Kern and his wife Danica Kern

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berks Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
