He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Purnell (Swann); his children, David Purnell (Tammy), Karen Kerns (Don), Sue Fryer (Mark) and Robert Cox (Tracy); his grandchildren, Chris Spence, Eric Specht (Rachael), Matthew Purnell (Sydney), Daniel Purnell (Lyndsey), Lauren Specht, Alex Fryer, James Purnell (Alexis), Leah Fryer, Joseph Cox, Hope Fryer, Julianne Cox, Aaron Cox and Christopher Fryer; and his great grandchildren, Maura Specht, Hallie Purnell and Kieran Specht.
