She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Newton and Edna Newton; her son James E. Whitmer; and her grandchildren, Gretna Jean Simmons and John Robert Collett.
She is survived by: her children, Norma Jean London of Portville, NY, Mary E. Collett, Iola Halstead, Gracie Ann Hogle (Robert) and Henry W. Whitmer; and her nephews, Russell and Bryan Newton of Forestville, NY.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
