He is survived by: his parents, Edwin Rakocy and Verna Grenda Rakocy; his spouse Marcella Douglas; his daughters, Theresa Morgan (Emmett) of Mt, Ann Rakocy (David Moyer) of Duke Center and Suzanne Strait (Tom) of Duke Center; and his sister Brenda Wagner (Bud) of Villa Rica.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 887 of Eldred, or to the Eldred.
