He was predeceased by: his parents, John Halat and Vera Halat (Lozinger); and his sister Mary Biaggio. He is survived by: his sons, Justin Halat of Hilliard, OH and Christopher Halat (Nicole) of Gaithersburg, MD; his siblings, Joseph Halat (Michele), James Halat and Melinda Castanheira (Nelson); and his grandchildren, Grant, Killian and Amelia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
