She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Zimmer and Mary Zimmer (Hirsch); her husband Ambrose Bachner; and her siblings, Paul Zimmer, Ruth Kowalski (late Carl) and Anna Mae Pferdehirt (Harry "Bud").
She is survived by: her grandchildren, James, Ambrose and Gabriella Banze; her daughters, Carol Meador (Bob), Susan Muse (Rich) and Nancy Banze (Jim); and her grandchildren, Brian Meador (Susan), Michael Meador (Yilka), Amy Elsey (Aaron), Erin Fallon (Brian), Lauren Cready (Russ), Meghan Smith (Joseph), Alyssa and Jacob Banze. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Dorothy's name to St. Paul of the Cross Monastery, 148 Monastery Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
