He is survived by: his spouse Whaneta Ames; his children, Raymond E. Ames (Nancy), Kathy Ames and Cheryl Butelli (late Jim); his grandchildren, Shirl Masisak (Sean McElwain), Valerie Tustin (Don), April Best (Adam) and Jesse Ames (Johanna); his great grandchildren, Donnie, Cami, Callie, Kodi, Tori, Colt Tustin, Autumn, Olivia Best and Zion Ames; his niece Mary Beth O'Brian-Mood (David Shaw); and his pet Sadie.

In lieu of flowers, Ed's family suggests contributions to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
