He is survived by: his children, Robert E. (Michele), Kenneth W., Debra L. Smith, William M., John S. (Carol) and Laura M. Zipfel (John); and his siblings-in-law, Russell Flaherty, Dolly Edinger and Jean Meyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
