He was predeceased by: his son Tim Darnley; and his brother Tommy. He is survived by: his wife Helen Davoren; his children, Patti Darnley (Tom Varley), Maureen Davoren (Scott Hodgdon), Aileen Frost (Tom), Joe Davoren (Tina), Brittany Darnley, Nicholas Frost (Anakin), Courtney Frost, Anthony Frost, Michael Gardner, Gia Gardner, David Gardner (Melissa), Grant Davoren and Myah; and his siblings, Marie O'Brien (late Patrick), Billy and Morgan Davoren. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews.
