He was predeceased by: his sibling George; and his parents, Francis Yost and Theresa Yost. He is survived by: his spouse Janet M.; his children, Corinne S. O'Connell (Brian), Marc R. Yost, Cyprian E. Yost, Michele S. Kanavel (Jeffrey) and David J. Yost (Christina); and his siblings, Francis Yost (Mary), Nicholas Yost, Joseph Yost (Jeanette), Barbara, Theresa and John Yost. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
