He was predeceased by: his brother John Purcell; and his stepson Richard Van Ess. He is survived by: his wife Anna; his daughter Lisa Purcell; his stepsons, William Van Ess and Robert Van Ess; and his sister Martha Lawler. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
