He was predeceased by: his parents, Dymytry John and Anna Harasty John (Hunchuk); his wife Mildred Harasty (Santek); his son Richard Alan Harasty; and his siblings, Cecelia Concely, Mary Kaler, Anna Petro and Charles Harasty.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth J. Harasty (Cathleen) and Deemston Borough William H. Harasty (Lynda); his grandchildren, Matthew Harasty (Shelby), Amanda Harasty, Kayla Longdon (Bobby) and Allison Hunter (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Amelia Harasty and Clara Harasty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in John's name to your local food bank.
