He is survived by: his wife Martha J. Connor Schmitzer; his children, Chuckie Schmitzer IV of Butler, Jeanene D. Harris (Robert) of Flower Mound and Joseph W. Schmitzer, Sr. of Butler; his siblings, Diane Kimpton (Walter) of Hiram, Sandy Kohl of Mars, Dottie Carothers of Zelienople and Tom Schmitzer (Joan) of Boardman, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Joey Schmitzer, Jr., Emily Page Schmitzer, Zachary C. Harris, Sophia Rose Harris, Jacob Harris and Veronica Harris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
