He was predeceased by: his wife Winifred Lucas. He is survived by: his children, Paul E. Lucas (Cindy) of Monroeville, Nancy A. Lucas of Fairfax and Scott E. Lucas (Emily) of Emerald Isle, N. C.; his grandchildren, Aaron Lucas of Pittsburgh and Sydnee Velez (Kiko) of Houston; and his brothers, Charles Lucas (Pat) of Pittsburgh, Milton, Stanley "Jay" and Russell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center of UPMC.
