He was predeceased by: his former wives, Margaret Bumpus McBride (Peg) and Kathleen Cunningham McBride; and his brother Ralph B. McBride of North Manchester. He is survived by: his parent Ralph A.; his sisters, Evelyn Knox of Slippery Rock and Jean Quinn of Elderton; and his sons, James E. McBride of Mogadore, Jeffrey McBride of Laurel and Gregory McBride of Butler. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
