James A. Cowan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2025 we had to say goodbye to James A. Cowan of Butler, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Richard Cowan and Margaret A. Walters Cowan; his son-in-law John "Boots" Butenshoen; and his brothers, Richard Cowan and David Cowan.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Reasinger; his children, Christine Cowan of Florida, Rev. Steven Asher of Naples, Fla. and Mark Cowan (Kim) of East Butler; and his stepchildren, Jo Ellen Hunt of Clearfield, John Brunette (Christine) of Butler, Clair Woodel (Debbie) of Clearfield and Boyd Smith (Sandy) of Florida. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
