He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vandersyde and Katherine Vandersyde (Fleishauer); and his brother George Vandersyde. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Vandersyde (Voltz) of Butler; his son John W. Vandersyde, Jr. of Helotes, TX; his grandchildren, Cierra Vandersyde and Schyler Vandersyde of Helotes, TX; and his sister Katherine Scherder of Butler.
