He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Holben and Ruth E. Holben (Ostrander); and his brother Thomas Holben. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen D. Holben (Rivers); his son Michael P. Holben (Emily Rensel) of Butler; his brothers, Clarence Holben (Linda) of Butler, James Holben (Cindy) of Chicora and Gerald Holben (Tammy) of Hooker; and his pet Ziggy. He is also survived by Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of Flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
