He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa K. Freemon; his children, Charlotte Freemon Dodd, Little Bob and Elizabeth "Beth" Freemon; and his siblings, Joseph A. Freemon, Howard P. Freemon, Noble E. Freemon Jr., Joyce Martin and Mary Freemon.

He is survived by: his brother James F.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
