She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Helenski and Constance Yaworski Hobbins; and her sisters, Berniece Drake and Regina Courson. She is survived by: her husband Hugh A. Shearer; her daughters, Melissa Phillips (Bob) of Cabot and Lynn Bullman (Kevin) of Butler; and her grandson Daniel Bullman.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society 1015 Evans City Road Renfrew, PA 16053.
