She was predeceased by: her parents, Bird Eldred and Mable Carpenter Eldred; and her siblings, Hattie Foley, Dorothy Witowski, Mary Peters and Paul Eldred.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth E. Shaffer of Woodcock; and her children, Grace Y. Szwarc (Deacon John Szwarc) of Altoona, PA, Audrey A. Daniluk (Joseph Daniluk) of Aurora, CO, Eugene P. Shaffer (Linda) of Meadville, James R. Shaffer of Pueblo, CO and Donald A. Shaffer (Terri) of Woodcock Boro. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
