It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Vanderweel (Canadensis, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 8, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Mary M. Vanderweel (Thomson); his parents, John J. Vanderweel and Mabel Vanderweel (Brush); his son Samuel J. Vanderweel; and his brother Thomas Vanderweel.

He is survived by : his children, Cynthia Vanderweel of Canadensis, John R. Vanderweel of Stroudsburg and Julius Schratt of Mountainhome; his grandchildren, Lyndsay Vanderweel and John R. Vanderweel, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Meghan, Marissa, Joshua and Avery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Evans-Blitz Post 922 American Legion in Canadensis.
