He is survived by: his wife Frances; his son Eugene J. Hammell MD (Kristie); his granddaughters, Lauren Hammell D. O., Elizabeth Henrich (Evan), Stephanie Hammell RN (Kyle Kirkpatrick) and Claire Hammell; his daughter Connie Hammell; and his brother John Hammell (Judy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
