He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph A. Yates and Carrie George Yates; his wife Rose Alma Wagner Swihart; his son George A. Yates; his stepsons, Gary Swihart and Buck Swihart (Susan); his stepgrandsons, B. J. (Jo-Anne), C. J. and Mike Swihart; his siblings, Marguerite Rankin and Joseph A. Yates; and his pet Boxer.
