With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Soma of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Smock, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Soma and Anna Gaydoshak Soma; his wife Gloria Soma; and his siblings, Michael, Peter, Andrew Soma, Mary Freeland, Anne Soma, Elizabeth Soma and Nellie Soma.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Soma of Memphis, Robert Soma of Spartanburg and Carol Schlieper (Gary) of Finleyville; his brother Charles Soma; his grandchildren, Jason Soma (Chandley), Kristofer Soma (Sally), Carrie Keefe (Kevin), Jonathan Soma, David Soma (Paige), Shea Soma and Caitlin O'Fee (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Gabriella, Violet, Charlotte, Sophia, Scarlett, Franchesca, Tate and Maxwell.
