Merritt Gillen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merritt Gillen (Canonsburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 1, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kathy Parry (Bryan Shellenberger) and John Gillen (Heather); her siblings, Nancy Paige Gillen, John Parry Gillen and Graham Stuver Gillen; and her grandparents, Stuver Parry, Mike Gillen, Mary Gillen and Nancy Parry. She was also cherished by step siblings, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Merritt's name to The Verland Foundation, Sewickley, PA (they are creating a sensory garden in spring of 2022) or the UMDF (United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation).
