He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry "Boots" Arent and Lorena Arent (Hill). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shawn Wright; his children, Madison and Jason; and his sisters, Holly Holmes (Joe) and Christy Kemp. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in honor of Madison and Jason.
