Sophia Dorothy Deangelo Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2020, at the age of 93, Sophia Dorothy Deangelo of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Weirton, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Aftanas and Mary Lesko Aftanas; her son Marc DeAngelo; her sister Anne Selip; and her brothers-in-law, Thomas Azzarello, John Selip and Rudy Volpe.

She is survived by: her children, Carole DeAngelo (Becca Carl) and David DeAngelo (Sharon); her daughter-in-law Linda DeAngelo (Blankenship); her grandchildren, Stephanie Baumgardner (Thomas), Vince DeAngelo, Marc DeAngelo and Christian Rohrer; her great grandchildren, Adelaide "Addie" and Hannah; her sisters, Delores Azzarello and Helen Burchill (William); her sister-in-law Rose Volpe; and her husband Vincent. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and a vast array of friends.
