He is survived by: his children, William Lee Carter II and RuthAnn Elizabeth Carter; his stepchildren, Geoffrey, Maeghan and Jarrod Curry; his grandchildren, Jayce and Brooke Dimirack; and his siblings, Robin, Gerald, John David, Sandra, Charlotte and Joseph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
