He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Speakman and Muriel Smith Speakman; and his wife Betsy Shaffer Speakman. He is survived by: his children, William E. Speakman III (Alison Schoppe) of Canonsburg, Matthew K. Speakman (Jessica Hoge) of Bozeman, MT and Margaret Jane Speakman (Kevin Johnsen) of Mammoth Lakes, CA; and his grandchildren, Cora, Mae Speakman and Austin Schoppe.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Presbyterian Church.
