He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Porter and Adeline Magnetta Porter; his wife Estella Solomon; his son Dr. Brian Porter (Angel) of Louisville, KY; his grandsons, James and Noah Porter; his nephews, Donald Zimak (Doreen) and Daniel Solomon (Amber); and his niece Mary McDonald (Stephen).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all those attending the service must wear a mask.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Wounded Warrior Project.
