He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Merton and Dortha Pierce (Norman); and his sister Marilyn Gaylord (Pierce). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Terry of Mansfield, PA.; his children, Terry Pierce (Susan), Pamela Thoren (Christian) and Melinda Tymeson (Sean); his grandchildren, Brandon Pierce, Christian Thoren, Brionna Kelley, Madison Thoren, Elizabeth Tymeson, Gabrielle McNett, Emmeline Tymeson and Carolyn Thoren; his great grandchildren, Judah, Noah and Lenora; and his siblings, Phillip Pierce (Beth), Joan Wheeler (Larry), Janice House (Harold) and Karen Warriner (Skip). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, former students and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be directed to Lighthouse Church, 141 East Main Street Canton, PA 17724.
