He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Eugene "Gene" and Alice "Jean" Harman (Landon); his wife Bena R. Eckman; his children, Todd Harman (Dawn) of Tennessee, Ty Harman (Christine) of Nevada, Brandy Etcheson (Scott) of North Carolina and Mandy Harman of Arizona; his stepchildren, Robert Clark (Tanya) of Hawaii, Donald Clark (Kim) of Canton, Travis Clark (Brooke) of Canton and Chip Clark (Allyson) of Canton; his sister Beverly Harman of Canton; his aunts and uncles, Max, Shirley Kalo of Monroeton, Janice Morrison of Granville Summit and Kate Flemming of Millerton; and his pet Finneus James. He was also cherished by several cousins and numerous special friends and his canine friend.
