He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Lazar and Anna Lazar. He is survived by : his wife Susan Bianci Lazar; his stepdaughters, Kathy (Ronald Ross) and Deborah; his close friend Ivar Iversen; his grandchildren, Anthony Marcavage (Whitney Rhoades Marcavage), Joseph Marcavage (Kaleena Rosado Marcavage) and Leahann Trusky Moslak (Thomas Moslak); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Mason, Vivian and David; his sister Dolores Lazar Bailey (late Robert Bailey); his niece Doreen Tullo (Carmine); and his nephews, Robert Bailey (Liona) and Michael Bailey (Diane).
