He was predeceased by : his daughter-in-law Merly Gilia; and his siblings, Rose Ellen Connerton, Patricia Gaiardo, Judith Granville and Jimmy.
He is survived by : his children, James Gilia (Linda), David Gilia and Patricia Greene (David); his grandchildren, Gretchen, Jimmy and Jeremy Gilia; and his siblings, Stephen Gilia and Ruth Roscioli. He is also survived by sister-in-law.
