He was predeceased by: his parent John Rupp; his brothers, Donald Rupp (Joanne) and Gerald Rupp (Mae); and his nephew Steven Rupp. He is survived by: his wife Ann Rotella; his parent Anna Voinski Rupp; his children, Michael Rupp (Claire) and Roseann Rupp-Maiolatesi; and his grandchildren, Margaret Ann Rupp, Casey Klint, Mia Maiolatesi, Giulia Maiolatesi, MaryAnne Verosky and Allison Craparo Levitt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's name to the donor's favorite charity.
