He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph W. Sr. McDermond and Bertha F. McDermond (Barrick); his son Joseph W. McDermond, III; and his sister Linda K. McDermond. He is survived by : his wife Connie L. McDermond (Vaughn); his daughter Ami N. McDermond Casper (Jason) of Wilmington, DE; his grandchildren, Peter and Emma Casper of Wilmington, DE; his nephew Ray Holsinger; his uncle Gene McDermond; and his aunts, Sylvia Mentzer and Dolly Smeltz.
