He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Fanus and Verna Fanus (Shoop); his wife Bessie "Liz" Elizabeth Fanus (Rutter); his daughter Rhonda Fanus; and his brothers, Russel, Bobby and Stuart Fanus.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Fanus of Mt. Holly Spring and Audra Fanus of Boiling Springs; his grandchildren, Dylan, Torey, Erik Coyle, Brandon and Morgan Fanus; his great grandchild Olivia Coyle; and his siblings, Patricia Folk of New Mexico, Shirley Sowers of Mt. Holly Springs and Dennis Fanus of Carlisle.
